Polevka Okukova - Moravska
(Cucumber Soup - Moravian)
A Czech Recipe
1/2 lb Potatoes, peeled, cubed
Sugar
4 ea Gherkins, cubed
1 c Sour cream
5 c Water
1/2 c Flour
Salt
Dill, chopped
Caraway seed
Boil potatoes in salted water a caraway seed. When almost tender, add
gherkins with a little pickle juice, flour mixed with cream and simmer
until tender.
Add dill, sugar and several drops of seasoning as desired. You may add a
beaten egg yolk if desired.
