Our Philosophy
Since 1972, our preschool has been an important part of our community outreach, providing a safe center of learning within a Christian environment.
Through our programs, two, three and four year old children are encouraged to grow socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. By fostering an atmosphere of love and acceptance, our teachers focus on supporting the positive self-image of each child, encourage them to discover and value their individual gifts and abilities, and learn respect for others.
Beginning to read
The Learning Environment
Children are taught through learning centers, individual and group instruction, and group play and field trips, which enhance the children’s desire to learn and experience the world. The curriculum changes often, to offer a quality program influenced by current teaching methods and to encourage the natural curiosity of each child. The spacious facilities of the preschool are surrounded by an acre of green play space, which includes an outdoor playground.
Preschool Year
The East Hills Moravian Church Preschool begins its year in mid September and ends in late May. The school follows the holiday schedule of the Bethlehem Area School District.

Programs
East Hills Moravian Church Preschool follows the Bethlehem Area School District’s age requirement guidelines. Children must be two, three or four years old by October 1st to be eligible for our preschool classes, and two and a half years old to join the Creative Playgroup program.
HOURS
Monday – Thursday 9:15AM – 3:00PM
Friday: 9:15AM-12:15PM
Parents may select from the following options:
- MORNING TWO YEAR OLD CLASS: 9:15-11:45 am Wednesdays & Thursdays
- MORNING THREE YEAR OLD CLASS: 9:15 AM- 11:45 am Tuesdays and Thursdays
- MORNING FOUR YEAR OLD PRESCHOOL CLASS: 9:15-11:45 am M-T-W-F
- MORNING FOUR YEAR OLD PRESCHOOL CLASS: 9:15-11:45 am M-W-F
- AFTERNOON FOUR YEAR OLD CLASS:12:30-3:00 pm M-T-W
Santa's Helper
- CREATIVE PLAYGROUP: 11:45 am-3:00 pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For Ages 2 & 1/2 – 4 years old. This is a semi-structured program for children in our preschool as well as in the community.
