East Hills Moravian Church Preschool

We regret to inform you that after 48 years of service, the East Hills Moravian Church preschool is no longer operating.

Our Mission and Philosophy

Since 1972, East Hills Moravian Church Preschool has been an important part of community outreach, providing a safe center of learning within a Christian environment to instill a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

Through our preschool programs, three, four, and five-year-old children are encouraged to grow socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually in preparation for futures filled with success and joy. While fostering an atmosphere of love and acceptance, our teachers focus on supporting the positive self-image of each child, encouraging them to discover and value their individual gifts and abilities, and develop respect for others.

The Learning Environment

Children are taught through learning centers, individual and group instruction, with multiple opportunities for group play, which enhance each child’s desire to learn and experience the world. The developmentally appropriate curriculum offers a quality program influenced by current methodologies while encouraging the natural curiosity of each child. A Pre-Kindergarten Phonemic Awareness curriculum is utilized to engage our four and five-year-old children in learning the fundamentals of letter sounds in preparation for learning to read. Additionally, the spacious facilities of the preschool are surrounded by an acre of green play space, which includes an outdoor playground.

Preschool Year

The East Hills Moravian Church Preschool begins its year in September and ends in late May. The preschool follows the schedule of the Bethlehem Area School District.
