Remember to Pick Up Your Cash Cards

Here's a friendly reminder that Cash Cards are readily available and easy to purchase almost anytime! On any Sunday morning, you'll find Louise Snyder staffing the Cash Card table in the front lobby and eager to help you obtain whatever it is you're looking for. And if Sundays don't suit you, Louise will take your e-mail orders at your convenience
Wal*Mart gift cards are available. They can be used at Wal*Mart and Sam's Club. The value of the card is $25.
Why shop with Cash Cards? Because every time you do, EHMC receives money! So whether you're buying groceries or shoes, books or clothing, movie tickets or electronics, if you use a Cash Card, your church earns dollars for doing ministry!

Where Is $71,500 in Our Church?
Take Part in the 50/50 Challenge!

by Catherine Moyzan

As we sat at the Church Council a few weeks ago and listened to the budget proposal, we were encouraged to give an additional $10 a week beyond our current pledges to help meet this year's budget. How easy is that? One way is to make a commitment to our Cash Card (Scrip) Program.
If each family unit in our church were to commit to using this program for groceries and gas each week, we have the opportunity to bring in an additional $2750 to support our church! That is $143,000 annually! If just 50% of us use the program, that brings in $1375 per week, or $71,500 per year. * (Currently, only 5% of our folks use this program on a regular basis.)
In this our 50th Anniversary year, let's commit to 50% of us using this program each week to purchase groceries and gas at no additional cost to our families.
If you have questions about the Scrip program, see me or contact Louise Snyder who is set up in the Narthex (Lobby) each Sunday.

* I used Giant grocery stores as the sample where we receive 5% of the sale of the cards. I used $150 for groceries and an additional $50 for gas. That is $10 a week we receive per family unit. We currently have about 275 family units in our church. Thanks, Louise, for your facts and figures and for all you do to operate this program.
