Spiritual Growth
East Hills Moravian Church

What's Ponder All About?

Perhaps you've glanced at the weekly calendar of church events in the Sunday bulletin
and wondered about the strange entry: Monday, 8:30PM, Ponder. Ponder is an
informal gathering of folks who come together to consider the scripture texts that
will ground the preacher's upcoming Sunday sermon.

The Bible study method used might be called intuitive. Participants raise question and
make observations about how each passage speaks to them, or what feelings the passage
raises in them. The input given highly influences how the preachers prepare their
messages. Our conversations are intentional, meaningful and special. And all of our
meetings are thoroughly bathed in beautiful prayer.

Ponder meets in the New Kitchen. All comers are welcomed.

Prayers at Sun Up

Need more than just caffeine to lift your attitude at the start of the work week?
The small, faithful group of Monday morning pray-ers invites you to join them in hopeful,
dynamic intercessory prayer in the EHMC parlor any or every Monday at 7:30 A.M.

This gathering is strictly B.Y.O.C. (Bring Your Own Coffee).

Inspired Conversation in the Early Morning

Wednesday mornings at 7:30AM you'll find a group of men engaging in animated, free-flowing
discussion stirred up by their reading of the classic Oswald Chambers book My Utmost
for His Highest. Current events, reflections on literature, and observations pulled
from living all flavor the mix. If this group sounds intriguing to you, feel welcomed
to join in. This group meets in the Parlor.

Sunday Night Bible Study

Currently engaged in the Gospel According to John, the Sunday Night Bible Study crowd comes
together in the Parlor for an hour beginning at 6:00 P.M. This group uses an intuitive
approach to studying the Scripture one biblical book at a time.

Thursday Morning Book Study Group

Meeting each Thursday at 11:30AM, this energetic group proposes and agrees upon material
to discuss. Always seeing the word through the lense of faith, this group tends to
select challenging; material. They've been know to tackle books by theologians and;
video series by biblical scholars. Watch for the Thursday morning crew to announce
its next selection towards the end of this month.
