WEDNESDAY Gatherings in Lent

Beginning on Wednesday, February 6th and continuing through all the Wednesdays in the season of Lent
March 12th, EHMC will come together for a light supper, a time of vesper worship and an hours' worth of
age-appropriate program time. Our Lenten gatherings are meant for ALL.

To observe the season of Lent, EHMC invites you to participate with your
whole church family in exploring the topic:             "The Lord Leads You and Me and Us."

We'll begin each evening with fellowship and supper at 6:00 P.M. in Fellowship Hall,
followed by worship in the Sanctuary at 7:00 P.M. At 7:15 P.M., kids up through 8th grade
will gather with Pastor Chris and others to explore lessons from Bold Bible Kids!
Meanwhile, adults and senior high youth will explore Guidance and God's Will in small
discussion groups. (We will aim to have a group devoted exclusively to senior high students).

The format is meant to be flexible so that folks can come and go as their schedules allow. Don't get out of work in time to join us for dinner! Join us only for worship and study. Need to get the kids tucked into bed early? Just come for supper and worship. Of course, if you're able, you're welcome to come early and stay late.

Each evening will consist of several components-a meal, a vesper worship service, and a study/activity block-set up to allow for scheduling flexibility. Can't come right at 6:00? Come a little later for worship and study. Need to tuck the kids in bed early? Come for supper and vespers only. Hoping to maximize the quality time you spend with other brothers and sisters in Christ? Come early and stay late. There are many possibilities!

The Wednesday evening schedule through March 12th:
  • 6:00 P.M. - 6:45 P.M. Light Supper in Fellowship Hall (prepared & served by volunteers)
  • 7:OO P.M. - 7:15 P.M. Vesper Worship in the Sanctuary (evening worship)
  • 7:15 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Program Time in various locations (study/activity groups)

Holy Week Opportunities

To mark and remember the final week of our Savior's earthly life,
gather for devotional reading services at 7:30 P.M. each Holy Week evening,
Sunday through Friday, March 16-21. Together we'll remember Jesus'
parting words and actions, culminating in the Maundy Thursday Communion
and the Good Friday Tenebrae worship.
