Making a Financial Pledge

Making a financial pledge to East Hills Moravian Church not only helps the church plan, but it helps you grow in your faith commitment to the church and to God.

We believe:
• All we have belongs to God. Our blessings are gifts from God, our generous Creator.
• We are lifelong stewards of the gifts with which God has blessed us.
• God expects us to practice stewardship in ways that glorify God and that strengthen His earthly Kingdom.
• Our stewardship decisions reveal the relative importance of God in our lives. Stewardship greatly impacts the depth of our relationships with God and the quality of our earthly lives.
• As good stewards, we should use our gifts of time, talent, treasure, and legacy in those places that best further God’s Kingdom.
• East Hills Moravian Church is a conduit through which God works.
• The practice of pledging changes hearts and strengthens relationships with God. Pledging is a tie that binds us to God.

Grace permeates our lives, and pledging to East Hills Moravian Church allows us to practice gratefully responding to that grace. It is the first step in cultivating a broader practice of generous living, shaping not only how we use our financial resources but also how we share our gifts of time, talent, and legacy with others. As we continue to invest in our faith community, we strengthen our personal relationship with God.

For additional information, to request a set of numbered offering envelopes, or to send a message to our Financial Secretary regarding making a financial pledge, please send an email to Secretary@easthillsmc.org.

Percentage Giving

East Hills Moravian Church believes that giving a percentage of one’s income with the goal of tithing to support ministries and benevolent causes is clear throughout the Bible. Percentage giving is a faith commitment.  By giving a percentage of income, together we provide for the practical financial ministry needs of the church and other agencies of the faith community that help provide for others. The success of our shared mission and ministries is realized through this practice of faithful stewardship.

Planned Giving

The Joint Board of Elders and Trustees is committed to ensure that major outright and planned gifts are properly invested and applied to responsible ministry. The Board has identified two funds to receive undesignated major outright and planned gifts. As a member or friend of East Hills Moravian Church, we encourage you to remember one or both of these funds in your estate planning.

The Building and Grounds Fund maintains the church buildings and grounds, infrastructure systems, physical security, worship, fellowship, and educational spaces. It also renovates, repurposes, upgrades, and expands the church’s structures and property.  Additionally, funds may be used to acquire new real property and/or build new facilities.

The Mission and Ministries Fund is used to further develop or establish congregational ministries of worship, learning, and service.  It also provides for partnership with shared ecumenical ministries within the community.

Additionally, planned gifts may be used for a specific ministry and purpose.  For more information and to speak with someone regarding Planned Giving, please call the Church Office at 610-868-6481.
