Who, Me?

In a recent sermon delivered by Pastor Chris titled "YOU DO IT," she urged each and every one of us to become more involved in solving problems, particularly for those experiencing tough times. Our church is involved in a variety of ministries that benefit people in our immediate area,
and volunteers are needed for all of them.

This is a great opportunity for you to find personal fulfillment while ministering to local people in need. The amount of time and energy that individual members can devote to this mission depend on their personal situations, but it is our obligation to show gratitude for what we have
by helping those who may be less fortunate.

Some of these ministries are already established and you can contact their coordinators for further information; others need a person (or persons) willing and able to facilitate their effectiveness as tools for outreach.

Ministries that need your time and energy include:
  • Victory House (Rich & Sue Kriebs)
  • Northeast Ministries (Rich Kriebs)
  • ShareCare (Karen Davison)
  • Visitation to members who are unable to attend
our worship service and activities (Jan Schanck)
  • LV Habitat for Humanity (Jay Larson)
  • NE Moravian Disaster Response (John Egerton, Advent Moravian Church)

Do you think there is a need? The overwhelming answer is YES.
Please contact our pastors, Mission-in-Action Chairperson
Amanda Caton, or Parish Nurse Sue Kriebs to get involved.

Become part of the solution. YOU DO IT!

  Support a Soldier
EHMC has adopted a soldier:

Arthur L. Luneau
besmaya range complex
(AID Station)
APO, AE 09390

Families or church groups are asked to take turns sponsoring him during all the months of the year. Says committee chairperson Amanda Caton, "We would love to see him get many letters, cards and care packages so that he will feel the appreciation that he and all other American soldiers deserve." Please see the sign-up sheet, wish list and mailing instructions posted on the Mission in Action bulletin board.
